Craft Goals for 2015

We’re more than halfway through January, and I still haven’t set any goals for the year. No wonder I never get anything done!

I’ve got a few areas that I want to spend time on this year. I want to sew more clothes for myself, and sort out my fit issues to sew clothes I love. I’ve signed up to a few Craftsy classes for sewing for myself. I really want to dive in and get through them!

We’ve lived in our house for over 2 years now, and there’s still lots of areas where I want to put my own stamp on it. To turn our house into a home. So I guess you’d call that goal home decorating!

I want to sew more clothes for the kids too. I got suckered in to too many discount sales for kid’s clothes in the last year or two, and haven’t needed to make much for the kids. Time to stop doing that, and make special clothes for the kids that reflect their personalities!

Photography is another area that I want to focus on – I can see my photography skills are improving, but I still feel like I’m a long way away from fantastic photos every time. I know I need to keep learning and practising!

And I just want more of the feeling I get when I make something. I didn’t spend enough time crafting and cooking in 2014. I want more of the joy and satisfaction I feel when I’ve accomplished a craft project (or when I lose myself in a craft).

So really, my craft goal for 2015 is just to craft more! Schedule it as an important part of my day and week. Make crafting a priority!

  1. I’ve never done any Craftsy classes, but there are quite a few that I know I’d like. Good luck with your crafting goals!
