Settling In

We made it to Perth safely, and were lucky to find a house to rent quickly (the second house we looked at!). We moved in last week, and are living amongst stacks of boxes, but are settling in. House-hunting for a place to buy is also looking positive, so everything with this move is falling into place. The kids are also loving playing with Granny, Pops and Uncle Richie, which really does make the pain of moving worth it!

Our house in Brisbane is on the market:

We hired furniture to dress it up for sale, and it looks fabulous (although the playroom doesn’t look the same without toys scattered everywhere!).

So all is going well here. As we settle back into a routine (and hopefully get better internet access soon…), I’ll get back to crafting and sharing more projects and tutorials. Stay tuned…

We moved to Perth last year from Sydney because my husbands family are here and a job offer came up for my husband in the Perth office.
We are really happy we made the move and Perth is the best city for kids.

Once you get settled, you will have to check out Calico and Ivy in Mosman park.. one of the nicest fabric/ yarn stores I have ever been in.
We also found that house prices are much more reasonable in Perth (at least compared to Sydney) so hopefully you will have no trouble finding a place.

    Good Luck!

I hope it’s wonderful for you!
And that your own house is found sooner rather than later – no fun unpacking boxes only to pack them up again.
