Fav Fabric Friday: Chevron Flannel

While we’ve been having heatwave after heatwave here in Perth (Australia) and the hottest summer on record, it’s time to start planning my kids’ winter wardrobes. This is the first year that I don’t have a big pile of clothes in waiting from last year’s end of season sales – a great excuse to get sewing!

The fabric that caught my eye this month is this Chevron Flannel by A.E. Nelson:

I just love all those colour-ways and the Missoni-feel to the prints (without the price-tag!). Double-brushed flannel (fuzzy on both sides) – hmm, I think I actually want to make pyjamas for myself out of this – stuff the kids!

The colours aren’t all girly – I’m thinking coordinating boy-girl PJs. I could go really crazy and make some for me and my hubby – how funny would that be?

What do you think? What are your favourite winter fabrics?
