Snail Birthday Card

After the tutorial for the stuffed snail toy yesterday, today I thought I’d share with you the birthday card I made to go with it.

My husband gave me a Brother Scan’N’Cut (affiliate link) craft cutting machine for Christmas, and I really haven’t used it that much. I’ve been scared of the learning curve, and maybe a little worried that it wasn’t worth the money that was spent on it. It’s time to give it a bit of a workout.

I used in-built designs for the Happy Birthday and the snail. The card was one from my stash and the paper was from a Gelati Basics paper set, bought in Spotlight – spots and stripes since that’s what the birthday girl loves.

It was really easy to separate out the different design elements on the machine, position them and then get the Scan’N’Cut to do the cutting.

A bit of glue, and the card was all done! I forgot to take a photo of the extra snail that Celeste drew on the inside!

Do you make your own birthday cards?
