WIP Wednesday

I’m feeling overwhelmed at the moment. So many jobs to do, not enough time. Having too many craft projects on the go isn’t helping. Here’s a glimpse of my Works in Progress (WIPs):

Crochet cardigan

WIP Wednesday (2)

I think I better start on next year’s winter cardigan now, since this year’s has completely missed winter. I just have to add the trim, weave in ends and block it. But it’s dropped down on the list of priorities, so I’m not sure when that’s going to happen…

Elsa Doll

WIP Wednesday (3)

My daughter’s birthday is just over a month away, and I wanted to make some toys for her. This is the start of an Elsa doll. I’d love to make an Anna doll too, but not sure I’ll have time (although this is only two night’s work). She needs more hair, a face and a wardrobe of clothes – this could get out of control!

Arthur Cabbage

WIP Wednesday (4)

I made Arthur months ago, but he’s still in need of some clothes. Sorry Arthur, Elsa’s jumped the queue. Hmmm, maybe I can turn him into Kristoff…

Another knitted vest

WIP Wednesday (5)

I can’t stop using my gigantic 12mm knitting needles. This is hopefully going to be a present (although maybe I should make a few mistakes so I can keep it for myself!).

Never-ending crochet lap blanket

WIP Wednesday (7)

This one started last winter with the crochet ripple-along, but I think it’s going to take another year for me to finish this one off. It stays in the lounge room and I do a couple of rows when I feel like it while watching TV. It’s simple, but is taking FOREVER!

Pants for Me

WIP Wednesday (6)

Somewhere buried under that pile is the fabric cut out for a pair of pants for me – remember I was working towards perfect fitting pants. They may fit perfectly, but I’ll never know if I don’t sew the pieces together!

And finally…

WIP Wednesday (1)

I started rearranging my craft room again yesterday afternoon (procrastinating again!), and my craft table now looks like this. No wonder I can never finish anything.

What are you working on?

  1. Haha I should post all my UFO’s too although it’s kind of embarrassing! I vote for you to finish the crochet cardigan and then the Elsa doll for your daughter’s birthday.

There may be a few more UFOs lurking in my craft room, but that was enough for today 🙂

  2. Thank goodness I am not the only one!! My craft room looks like a cyclone tore through it, and yes, many WIPs in there. Being a grandmother of 11 (all grandies living close by), still working full time, and loving to sew, knit, crochet, read, etc. leads to ‘organised’ chaos in my craft room! I tidy it all up and in no time it is right back where it was. Waste of time, really. However, I am grateful that I do have a designated room for my craft…..at least I can shut the door.
I wish you a happy day – from the mid north coast of NSW!

It is nice having a craft room with a door. Sounds like you’ve got a full life. Thanks for taking the time to stop by!
