Stylish Crochet Hat Patterns for Women

I’ve had short hair for a while now, but I’m still getting used to it! Some mornings my hair is just crazy and a squirt of water isn’t enough to get it under control. I’m running late for school drop-off, and don’t want to be the Mum with bed-head. I can’t just throw it in a ponytail! What am I supposed to do?

A hat! I could just put on a hat. But in the middle of winter, I’d look crazier turning up to school with a sun-hat in the rain. It doesn’t get that cold here for beanies – I need something stylish. Create the illusion that I’m the classy, stylish lady with the oh-so-fashionable hat! OK, that’s not really me, but I can dream!

Here's a collection of stylish crochet hat patterns for women that are more than just a beanie. They'd make cute handmade gifts and would be perfect to look stylish as well as warm in winter!

I’m preparing for a trip away, and looking for a craft project to throw in the suitcase, and a crochet hat sounds like a winner. Here’s the shortlist of crochet hat patterns for women. Which one would you pick?

I love this newsboy-style crochet hat from Pixiebell. The waviness of it give a cute flair, and the buckle is a nice touch.

Maybe I should go for a more casual, slightly hippy style with the Yoga Beret from Momohana Kobo.

The button tab slouchy hat by Simply Made by Erin is another cute pattern, and it comes in kids’ sizes too. Maybe I could making a matching one for my daughter (although I wonder if it would make me look a bit like a Smurf???)

What about something in-between, with a slouchy newsboy hat from Alyse Crochet?

I quite like this style too – the gathers an draped brim add an interesting detail. This pattern is by Kallie Designs:

I love the look of this 1920s Cloche Hat, with free pattern by Hopeful Honey (she also has other cute crochet hat patterns in her Etsy Store):

The last time I attempted to crochet a hat for myself (a beret), it looked like a fluffy shower cap. So I really need help. Which one would you pick?
