Nursery Rhyme for Crafters
Curly locks, curly locks, will thou be mine?
Thou shall not wash dishes, nor yet feed the swine,
But sit on a cushion and sew a fine seam,
And feed upon strawberries, sugar, and cream!
We listen to a lot of nursery rhymes in this house (thanks to an ABC double CD of 200 of them), and this one always captures my attention. If only someone would sing this to me!
Unfortunately, I have dead-straight hair, but as all good blog posts need a photo, here’s a flashback to my perm days in high school. I think this was Year 10, so I would have been 15 (let’s not discuss what year that was).
How much mousse do you think is in my hair? Ah, the memories…

Your perm was a tamer perm than mine was!! 🙂
Oh my! My sister got a perm in middle school and her hair was never the same again. My straight hair does not ever want to curl. So sad.
I remember getting a perm…once…I think I was abt 18….never again….do people still get perms?
Ahhh…I remember getting perms on my naturally curly hair. It was quite a perm.
Now my hair is really dry and I keep it really short so it doesn’t get fuzzy.
Aww!! Thank you for sharing your school pic!! It’s so fun to look back 🙂
Thank you for stopping by and following my blog, I’m following you now too! Your blog is fantastic!! 🙂
